Income Limits & Utility Allowances

The Department of Housing and Urban Development sets income limits to determine who is eligible for housing programs.

Income limits are used for eligibility only at admission. Eligibility is established by comparing a family’s annual income with HUD’s published income limits.

Through a partnership with Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU), THA has been able to collect regular updates to electrical consumption and rates. This allows THA to regularly update its own schedule using a rolling average of local data.
