TACOMA, WA January 24, 2025 — The Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) has announced a new commercial space available for rent in their Housing Hilltop development. Located in Housing Hilltop South, Space C is a 775-square-foot corner unit on 11th street. All details and application instructions for proposals can be found at tacomahousing.org/hht-spacec, and the deadline to submit a proposal for the space is February 23, 2025, at 5 PM.

The RFP application period for Space C comes months after two local businesses, Reyna Filipina Kitchen and Lavonne’s Room, were selected through a similar RFP process to occupy spaces A and B in Housing Hilltop South, while HVAC, flooring, and other commercial improvements were completed in Space C. In addition, THA has secured some financial resources to help the tenant selected to occupy Space C build out the commercial space that must be spent by September 30, 2025.

Through this RFP process, THA has every intention of identifying and partnering with local businesses or organizations that fulfill a community need and add to the unique cultural identity of the Hilltop neighborhood. For more information or to submit a proposal, visit tacomahousing.org, or email Mike Hembling at mhembling@tacomahousing.org.
