Tacoma Housing Authority Finalizes Purchase Of North Highland Court Apartments
The 35-unit apartment complex will be the third north end property owned by THA.
TACOMA, WA – August 8, 2022 — The Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) has acquired the North Highland Court apartment complex. Located at 3015 North Highland Street, the 35-unit community becomes the third such THA-owned property in the north end. THA purchased the property using a combination of reserve funds and a loan from Banner Bank.
We are excited to add the North Highland Court apartments to the THA portfolio and expand access to renters who want to live in the north end. Participants in the Housing Choice Voucher program continue to struggle to find available units, especially in neighborhoods in the north end. Through this purchase, we will be able to prioritize voucher shoppers at North Highland Court as units become available.
