Public Hearing Regarding Financing for Construction & Equipping of Housing Hilltop
Telephonic hearing to be held Monday, October 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm
The Housing Authority of the City of Tacoma (the “Authority”) will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. on the proposed issuance by the Authority, pursuant to chapter 35.82 RCW and a plan of financing with respect to the project described below (the “Project”) of certain obligations (the “Obligations”) the interest on which will be excluded from gross income for federal income tax purposes pursuant to Sections 103 and 142 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”). The Obligations are expected to be issued to finance the construction and equipping of the multifamily housing facility described below, which is to be operated as a qualified residential rental project under Section 142(d) of the Code to provide housing for low-income persons.

In accordance with Internal Revenue Service Revenue Procedure 2022-20, the public hearing will not be conducted in person.

The public is invited to attend the hearing by telephone or video conference as described above, and to present oral or written testimony regarding the proposed issuance of the Obligations and the location and nature of the proposed Project to be financed, or to submit written comments to the Authority at 902 South L Street, Tacoma, Washington 98405, to be received no later than the time of the hearing. The hearing will constitute the public hearing required by Section 147(f) of the Code.
