Register for the THA Service Portal

Follow the steps shown below to set up your account on the Tacoma Housing Authority service portal. If you have any questions or you need help with any of these steps, you can fill out our service portal assistance form or email .

Step by Step Instructions

You can get started from the portal homepage at portal.tacomahousing.org. From there, click on the login link that applies for you:

  • Applicant Login if you are applying for THA housing waitlist or services.
  • Resident Login if you are a THA tenant or voucher holder.
  • Landlord Login if you are one of our landlord partners.

When you reach the login screen, click on the link below the Email and Password fields labeled, “Click here to register.

Residents and Landlords will be asked for a registration code, which we will send to you separately. Enter your code and select the “Go” button.

If you cannot locate your code, you can fill out our Registration Code Request Form.

Applicants do not need a registration code.

When you reach the registration screen, you’ll be asked to enter your personal information.

Residents should use the first and last name of the head of your household.

Landlords should fill in the Last Name field with the name listed on the registration letter we have sent to you.

We suggest filling in the First Name field with this same name, so that both fields match.

Enter your email address, choose your password, and review the Terms and Conditions.

If you don’t have an email address, you can register for a free email account through a provider such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.

Select the “Register” button to finish setting up your account.

Landlords will have an additional, optional “Account Nickname” field, which you can use to help organize your account if you have multiple properties with different registration codes.

Once you’ve completed your registration, you’ll be taken to our dashboard. From here, you can follow the links to find the THA services relevant to you.

Applicants will still need to submit a waitlist application after finishing the registration. Creating an account does not automatically add you to a waitlist.
